What is the Olami Leaders Fellowship?
The Olami Leaders Fellowship is a fun and innovative 10-week Jewish Leadership initiative that includes inspiring and meaningful classes and discussions on a range of topics connected to Jewish life and Israel.
What are the topics?
The topics include relationships, happiness, Shabbat, Jewish history and philosophy, the soul and the afterlife and ethics, plus Israel-advocacy training and more!
Who are the speakers?
The main speakers are Rabbi Seth and Lisa Cook together with other dynamic speakers from across Cincinnati and the US.
Who is eligible to apply?
Jewish students at Miami U of Ohio enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate studies are eligible to apply.
What are the costs?
The Fellowship is free to attend, and even pays a stipend of $300!
When do the sessions take place?
The sessions take place at the Olami house on campus on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm - 8pm. There is also a required full Shabbaton in Cincinnati from November 14th-15th.
Will there be food?
Yes, a delicious dinner will be provided at every session.
How will I receive my stipend?
Stipends are paid out at the end of the program, upon completing all requirements (at least 8/10 classes and the Shabbaton).
How do I apply?
The application process includes filling out the application form, and meeting one of our staff members either in person or online for a short, informal interview.
